Databases, content mangers, and XML are providing new tools for managing educational resources.

Traditional tools (Flash, PowerPoint, Acrobat) are being replaced by new tools aimed at doing a better job of representing and managing content.

The goal is more flexible, sharable, reusable, better designed, and better implemented educational programs.
